OUR KB HOME IS NO MORE!!!

That's right! We no longer are the to be owners of a KB home in Queen Creek Arizona. We decided the commute would kill me in the long run. We dumped our contract and are getting ALL the money back! We signed on a house in Chandler (North west near tempe mesa border) it is on 1/3 of an acre, and is 4 bed 2 bath, with an arizona room and is our new home. It is a little older (1979) but we now call it home.

Week 13: Drywall is coming in. (Is this mexico?)

Well, as you can see, we have drywall up now. It's not all the way done yet, but close. Note the view below from our huge backyard! Is our house in mexico? From the signs on our street one might assume so. But soon those signs will be replaced by minivans and SUV's as the soccer moms head off to the next activity.


 

Week 12: Inspections and Corrections

Sorry these are so late. They are from last week Aug 19th. We finally have the correct roof tiles. It is also good to see that inspectors are doing the rounds making note of things that need to be fixeed. We should do a pre drywall walk through soon .


 

Week 10-11: Chicken Wire and tile.

Sorry no post last week, and sorry this one was late. We were busy moving and with Ben & Misti's wedding (Jen's brother). We did go by but there were workers there so we didn't disturb them. Looks like it is coming together quick. Soon we'll be inside!!!


 

Week 9: The tiles arrive

Tiles as well as our neighbor's roof truss arrive on our front yard.
How interesting!!!

An inspection checklist. All roughed in. Just need to do a walkthrough with the super. 

Week 8: Electrical and HVAC rough in.

Roofing paper is up on the outside, and slats for the tiles to go up soon.
The home run!!! All the electrical wires run here... The breaker panel is on the outside. The security system is also being installed at this time.
The HVAC Unit is quite large, and the ducts coming out remind me of an octopus.
The can lighting in the kitchen will be nice.

Week 7: Windows, tubs and plumbing are in!

All the windows are in as well as plumbing. I think this week is electrical... We'll see. It's moving right along.


Looks like Ben and Misti like the new digs as well... What is Hannah staring at in the background?
